A Clinical Evaluation is required by Georgia Law for anyone who has had two or more DUIs, and may be required for a first DUI at the judge’s discretion. The evaluation is a one-time interview which takes approximately one hour. It should be scheduled upon completion of the risk reduction program (DUI School). The purpose is to determine whether additional services are warranted. The evaluator is required to make a recommendation which may be for additional education or treatment, or in some cases, for no additional services. The recommendation will be fully explained to you at completion of the evaluation. While you may choose any evaluator from the state register, for your convenience, Georgia Driving School has a Registered Clinical Evaluator onsite.
Jerry Daniel (CADC-II), Registration # 661Mr. Daniel is available by appointment. He has over 40 years of experience in the field of substance abuse and addiction and is a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counsellor. Appointments can usually be made within a week of your request by contacting Mr. Daniel directly at (770) 841-5284. You may also call if you have questions and he will guide you through the process for license reinstatement.
The fee for the clinical evaluation is $110 for cash or money order, and $115 for credit card processing. Payment can be made directly to your evaluator at the time of the evaluation, or can be prepaid at the Georgia Driving School.
